For you adventuresome types I would like to request that you please not use any part of me, including the content on my website, as your authority for having gone out and got yourself killed. Be accountable before you leave on that impossible trip, and tell all your loved ones that you alone are responsible for your conduct. Please don't leave your loved ones in a place where they will feel a need to seek me out for righteous punishment after your untimely demise.

I am just a guy who loves our backcountry, which I grew up in. Knowing most won't get to see what it is that we have, I also photograph and write about where I have gone so they too can see what we have placed in a permanent trust.

I have a wife, and yes, there is concern from her about my seemingly unquenchable thirst for Montana and Idaho's backcountry. I can tell you though she isn't going to go out and blow someone up for my conduct which may have taken me out.
