Description
Trapper Peak (10,157 feet) towers over the southern end of Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. This peak also has the distinction of being the highest in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness.
Spring flowers are in great abundance at Trapper Peak’s Outlook on Memorial weekend. Besides the Indian paintbrush and lupine seen here, the area has an abundance of other flowers, including Montana’s somewhat rare state flower, the Bitterroot.
