Description
In the Seven Lakes Scenic area in Idaho and Montana’s Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, came an early winter dawn after the first winter storm of the season.
On a clear morning in October such as this particular day, the temperature is always colder than the true winter months. Leastwise that is the way it feels when crawling out of a warm sleeping bag in a tent.
In reality, the temperature probably failed to drop into the single digits. Within a month however, this particular morning’s temperature might feel downright balmy as the thermometer reading barely rises above zero degrees Fahrenheit.
